The workshop will give an introduction to the architecture, installation and configuration of Apache Lenya. The versatile Content Management System can be used as an on-line editing system, Document Management System and Enterprise Solution (Intra -, Extranet). It also offers outstanding capabilities for CROSS Media Publishing and Print-on-Demand.

Editing Lenya documents with XForms in Open Office

The W3C-Standard XForms is a trend-setting technology for the description of forms. OpenOffice offers the possibility of editing structured documents (e.g. calculations, reports...) by means of XForms. The lecture shows how OpenOffice as editor and Lenya as Content Management System can interact within the process of production and administration of structured documents.
