[Phoenix] Fixing bug #4809

Hi

I've tested several approaches today to find out which one's best, but I 
have yet to find one which actually works... *sigh*

Now, actually, I have one more in store, but I need some time to 
implement it, because it requires lots of under-the-hood changes.

So, in order to workaround this bug for the moment, I've turned some 
knobs regarding timing, and I am positive that this should eliminate the 
bug for most situations.
